On arrival in Ushuaia I identified my bags and they were thentransferred to the Seabourn Venture. The next time I saw them waswhen they were delivered to my beautiful V1 Suite. New lounges that have a decided expedition focus include the underutilized (by guests; the expedition staff loved this area) Bow Lounge at the front of the ship on Deck 6. Here, navigation instruments that mimic the bridge give maritime geeks all kinds of stats about the ship's position and progress, and you can also find sodas and snacks. We also loved pre-dinner cocktails in the cozy Expedition Lounge on Deck 4, squarely between the Discovery Center (which has multiple uses as theater and briefing room) and the Restaurant. We’re puzzled at Seabourn’s decision to store the Zodiacs on the ship's top deck, as opposed to water level, as it slows down deployment.

Dinner from The Restaurant menu is served, course by course, in your suite or on your veranda. The Constellation Lounge is the highest indoor viewing point on each ship. Located on Deck 6, at the forward-most part of the vessel, the Bow Lounge provides the closest access to water level via the foredeck, making it the perfect spot for guests to spend some time watching for marine life.

It required warm weather clothing for the early part of cruise and the end in Montevideo and Buenos Aires. Of course the time in Antarctica required lots of cold weather gear. Let’s just say that it took two tries to make it all fit in our luggage.
During the day aswell as 'conversations' with the Expedition Team in the DiscoveryCentre, Trivia, unhosted Social Bridge Play, Spa Events, A TeddyTumble and Afternoon Tea were offered throughout the cruise. Beyond the Restaurant, the Colonnade is the ship’s buffet for breakfast and lunch, switching to served meals at dinner. Several times per cruise, the Colonnade switches things up to serve Earth & Ocean, menus from the same restaurant on Seabourn’s larger ships.
Or for those who want something else there is complimentary 24 hour room service available. The entire dinner menu from the main restaurant or earth and ocean is also available via room service. The snow covered white continent left me speechless and in awe; each day was better than the previous. A trip with Seabourn expeditions is among the best way to cruise to Antarctica.
Depending on weather, ice conditions and reported wildlife distribution during your voyage, your captain and expedition team will program an additional day of discovery and adventure for you in Antarctica. In addition, the expedition team will be in the lounge regularly to help identify points of interest, wildlife and geological wonders. Expedition Team members will be available within the Lounge throughout the day to interact with guests, answer questions, provide interpretation and aid in spotting wildlife.
